AC/DC — Live Concert at Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas, Madrid, Spain 1996

On July 10, 1996, the historic Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas bullring in Madrid was transformed into a temple of high-voltage rock and roll as AC/DC delivered an explosive performance. This concert was a key stop on their massive Ballbreaker World Tour and was captured for the iconic concert film, "No Bull". The tour marked the celebrated return of drummer Phil Rudd, reuniting a classic lineup that fans were ecstatic to see back in action.

The show's production was a spectacle in itself, famously beginning with a giant wrecking ball demolishing a section of the stage, from which the band would emerge. From the opening chords of "Back in Black" to the cannon fire of "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)," the energy was relentless. Angus Young, in his signature schoolboy uniform, commanded the stage with his frenetic solos and boundless energy, while Brian Johnson’s powerful, gravelly vocals cut through the roar of the Spanish crowd. The setlist was a masterclass in rock history, featuring titans like "Thunderstruck," "Hells Bells," and "Highway to Hell" alongside new tracks from the "Ballbreaker" album.

Directed by the acclaimed David Mallet, the "No Bull" film perfectly encapsulates the raw power and theatricality of an AC/DC show. It’s more than just a recording of a concert; it's a document of a legendary band at the peak of their powers, delivering an unapologetic, sweat-drenched performance that has since become a benchmark for live rock music. The Madrid concert remains a fan favorite, showcasing the timeless, electrifying essence of AC/DC.
