Set against the stunning backdrop of Saudi Arabia's ancient city of AlUla, the award-winning, mirror-clad Maraya concert hall hosted a truly special evening with R&B superstar Alicia Keys. This performance, part of the AlUla Moments event series, marked a celebrated return for the artist to this unique and architecturally breathtaking venue, where she had performed once before.
On February 24, 2023, Keys delivered an intimate and powerful show, showcasing the incredible vocal range and masterful piano skills that have earned her 15 Grammy Awards. The setlist was a journey through her most beloved hits, with the audience treated to timeless classics like 'Fallin'', 'No One,' 'Girl On Fire,' and the iconic 'Empire State of Mind.' Her connection with the grand piano was, as always, a centerpiece of the performance, creating a deeply personal atmosphere within the spectacular hall.
Beyond the music, this visit underscored Keys' deeper connection to the region. The day after her concert, she hosted a 'Women to Women' talk, continuing a dialogue she had started during her previous visit. This blend of world-class musical performance and meaningful community engagement made her concert at Maraya more than just a show; it was a powerful cultural event celebrating artistry and empowerment.
