All Them Witches’ performance on KEXP in 2023 unveiled their mastery in crafting atmospheric psychedelic rock in a live studio session format. Held at KEXP’s studio in Seattle, renowned for its high-quality live recordings, the American band, known for blending psychedelic rock, blues, and stoner rock, delivered a set brimming with depth and energy. Led by vocalist Charles Michael Parks Jr., All Them Witches performed tracks with powerful guitar riffs and hypnotic rhythms, creating an atmosphere where each chord echoed like a call from distant deserts. In 2023, the band was promoting their album "Baker’s Dozen," their seventh studio release, and the set included tracks from that record alongside earlier works, showcasing their creative evolution. The rendition of "When God Comes Back" stood out for its intensity, with the live instrumentation adding a unique texture to the set. Formed in Nashville in 2012, the band is known for their improvisational live performances, often compared to the jam sessions of the 70s. KEXP, with its reputation as a platform for live music, provided a fitting stage for this show, reflecting All Them Witches’ ability to captivate listeners.
