Amy Winehouse — Live at Glastonbury, 2008

On a Saturday evening in June 2008 Amy Winehouse stepped onto the Pyramid Stage and delivered one of the most memorable sets of her career. Still riding the huge wave of Back to Black, she mixed her biggest hits with deep cuts and a couple of classic Specials covers, sounding loose, playful and completely in control.

She talked, joked, introduced the band and poured real emotion into songs like “Love Is a Losing Game” and “Wake Up Alone”. The performance ended in chaos when she jumped into the photo pit during “Rehab”, but the music itself remains sharp, soulful and full of the raw charisma that made her special.

This is Amy at the peak of her powers — vulnerable, funny and magnetic all at once.
