As part of the celebrated "KEXP at Home" series, Australian punk firebrands Amyl and The Sniffers delivered a blistering set straight from their home turf. Recorded at Soundpark Studios in Melbourne in October 2021, this performance is a raw, unfiltered showcase of the band's signature pub-rock energy, proving that they don't need a packed venue to unleash their full power. Led by the magnetic and wonderfully chaotic presence of vocalist Amy Taylor, the quartet rips through a setlist packed with highlights from their then-recent album, 'Comfort to Me'.
The performance is a perfect storm of snarling vocals, gritty guitar riffs from Dec Martens, and a tight, driving rhythm section courtesy of Bryce Wilson and Gus Romer. Tracks like "Guided By Angels," "Hertz," and "Security" are delivered with ferocious intensity, capturing the live-wire energy that has made the band a global phenomenon. This session isn't just a concert; it's an intimate look at the band's creative process, complete with an interview with KEXP's Troy Nelson that offers insights into their music and personality. It’s a potent dose of pure, unapologetic rock and roll.
