Ringing in the new year at a legendary festival is a special moment for any artist, and for psytrance titan Astrix, his set at Brazil's Universo Paralello was a truly tribal experience. This performance, captured during the crossover from 2022 to 2023, marked his fourth appearance at the iconic event, a testament to his deep connection with the Brazilian crowd. However, the raw power of the festival's atmosphere came with a price. The tropical weather, a mix of intense heat and rain, damaged some of the original video and audio recordings. What could have been a lost moment was instead transformed into a unique artistic opportunity. Rather than release a compromised film, Astrix and a team of creative minds embraced the challenge, using AI technology and imaginative animation to rebuild the experience. The result is the 'Alternative Reality Full Set Movie'—a mesmerizing journey that blends actual footage from the dancefloor with visuals inspired by the set's energy. It's a creative reimagining that captures the spirit of the performance, perhaps even showing what it might have looked like in a parallel universe. This set is a powerful showcase of Astrix's signature sound—hypnotic, emotionally uplifting, and meticulously crafted. For fans of psychedelic trance, it's not just a recording of a DJ set; it's a testament to artistic resilience and a visually stunning trip into the heart of one of the world's most vibrant festivals.
