Pop-punk royalty, Avril Lavigne, delivered an electrifying performance under the Las Vegas sun, taking over the Daytime Stage at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival. Held at the vibrant AREA15 venue, this set was a powerful reminder of Lavigne's enduring impact on the music scene, blending nostalgic anthems with her newer, hard-hitting tracks. Kicking off with a cover of Joan Jett's rebellious classic "Bad Reputation," Lavigne immediately set a high-energy tone. The crowd was treated to a whirlwind tour of her career, from the infectious, chart-topping hit "Girlfriend" to the raw emotion of ballads like "My Happy Ending" and "I'm With You." She also showcased her recent work with the defiant track "Bite Me," proving her sound is as relevant as ever. Of course, no Avril Lavigne show would be complete without the iconic, tie-loosening anthem "Sk8er Boi," which had the entire audience singing along. This performance was a concentrated blast of pure pop-punk energy, cementing her status as a queen of the genre for fans old and new.
