Balthazar’s performance on August 21, 2022, at the Lowlands festival in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands, delivers a refined blend of indie rock, baroque pop, and subtle melancholy. Held on the Bravo stage, the concert is marked by its warm ambiance and the seamless vocal interplay of Maarten Devoldere and Jinte Deprez. Formed in Ghent in 2004, the Belgian band had solidified their acclaim by 2022 with their album Fever (2019), which shaped this set. Their appearance at Lowlands, a cornerstone of European festivals, showcases their ability to craft emotionally rich performances, balancing introspective lyricism with vibrant rhythms.
