Balthazar’s performance on August 13, 2015, at the Sziget festival in Budapest, Hungary, delivers a refined blend of indie rock, baroque pop, and subtle melancholy. Held on the A38 stage, the concert showcased their skill in crafting atmospheric compositions, led by vocalists Maarten Devoldere and Jinte Deprez. Formed in Ghent in 2004, the Belgian band had by 2015 established a strong reputation with their album Rats (2012). Their set at one of Europe’s premier festivals stands out for its seamless balance of emotional depth and vibrant stage energy.
