In June 2025, Polish black/death metal band Behemoth—from Gdańsk and genre pioneers with albums like The Satanist (2014), earning a Grammy nomination and over 500,000 copies sold—performed at Graspop Metal Meeting, one of Europe's oldest metal festivals launched in 1996 in Dessel, Belgium, where their headlining set capped a day alongside Iron Maiden and Korn. The 90-minute main stage performance, captured professionally, embodied their Opvs Contra Natvram tour climax, where Adam "Nergal" Darski's aggressive riffs merged with Zbigniew "Inferno" Promiński's drum power and theatrical elements to spark collective ecstasy among 80,000 under summer skies. Featuring tracks like "Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer", "Bartzabel", and "O Father O Satan O Sun!", this show highlighted their leadership in modern extreme metal, turning the festival grounds into a realm of rebellion and unity.
