Big Sean filmed this set for Amazon Music’s Songline series, in which artists rework their songs for a smaller, more intimate setting. He played in the Detroit Institute of Arts in his hometown, and the performance is cut together with scenes about his Detroit roots, his influences and his personal struggles. The set covers his whole career. It opens with “Iconic” and “Typecast,” moves through older hits like “Mercy,” “Clique,” “Beware,” “Paradise” and “Bounce Back,” includes his verse from Drake’s “All Me,” and closes with “I Don’t Fuck with You.” Detroit-born singer Eryn Allen Kane joins him on “Apologize” and “Black Void,” and Nasaan appears on “Certified.” The audio was released exclusively on Amazon Music on December 20, 2024, and the full film followed on February 21, 2025. It later came out on vinyl as Live From The Detroit Institute Of Arts Museum.
