In April 1995, Black Sabbath—with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Tony Martin (vocals), Bobby Rondinelli (drums), and Geoff Nicholls (keys)—performed at London's Hammersmith Apollo during the final European leg of the Cross Purposes Tour. The 90-minute set, professionally filmed and later released as the official VHS Cross Purposes Live (the only full video release of the Tony Martin era), became a cult document of the period: "Headless Cross", "Children of the Grave", "Symptom of the Universe", and "Black Sabbath" sat alongside new tracks "I Witness", "The Wizard", and "Cross of Thorns", with a finale of "Paranoid" and Iommi's guitar solo delivering total catharsis for 5,000 attendees. This show—the last major release with Martin before his 1997 departure—remains the sole full video artifact of Sabbath's 90s gothic-metal phase.
