Blondie played KAABOO Del Mar at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in California on September 14, 2018, and the festival streamed the set for free on Stingray Qello. The band was touring Pollinator, its 2017 album, and five songs from it are spread through the set: “Doom or Destiny,” “Fun,” “Gravity,” “Too Much” and “Long Time.” The album’s closing track “Fragments” also gets a long live run. Debbie Harry leads the band with Chris Stein on guitar and Clem Burke on drums, alongside Leigh Foxx on bass, Matt Katz-Bohen on keyboards and Tommy Kessler on guitar. The older songs reach back to the late 1970s with “Hanging on the Telephone,” “One Way or Another,” “Heart of Glass,” “Atomic” and “Dreaming,” and also include “Call Me,” “Rapture,” “The Tide Is High” and “Maria,” their 1999 comeback single. The show opens with “One Way or Another” and closes with “Dreaming.”
