Cigarettes After Sex brought their signature brand of ambient pop and melancholic dreamscapes to the iconic Rock Werchter festival in Werchter, Belgium, in 2022. Known for their ethereal soundscapes and whispered vocals, the band, fronted by Greg Gonzalez, delivered a captivating full performance that transported the audience into their intimate, hazy world. Despite the vast festival setting, the Texas-based quartet managed to create an atmosphere of profound introspection and shared emotion, a testament to the immersive power of their music. The setlist, featuring fan favorites like "Affection," "Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby," "K.," and "Apocalypse," showcased their ability to craft deeply personal narratives that resonate universally. Each note, from the shimmering guitars to the gentle, driving rhythms, contributed to a performance that felt both expansive and incredibly personal, leaving a lasting impression on those who experienced their unique live presence.
