In May 2025, at Knowhere Festival—a fresh California event launched in 2023 as a platform for electronic music emphasizing tech house and afro house in scenic locales—American DJ and producer Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz), Mad Decent co-founder and tropical house pioneer with hits like "Lean On" (2015), crashed the lineup as a surprise guest with an impromptu set. His 60-minute performance, brimming with throbbing beats and eclectic fusions, captured the artist's eccentricity, where house rhythms merged with local motifs to spark spontaneous euphoria among the expedition crowd at Camp Silver Spur. As part of his "Higher Ground" series, this appearance highlighted Diplo's convention-breaking ethos, turning a remote camp into an impromptu festival oasis.
