In 2024, Doja Cat—whose albums like Scarlet fuse pop-rap with alternative edges, earning her multiple Grammy wins for genre innovation—capped the second day of Las Vegas's iHeartRadio Music Festival, where her gray Dolce & Gabbana suit evoked a business mogul commanding the stage. The concise yet explosive set of seven tracks—from the freestyle "WYM Freestyle" and demonic "Demons" with stage leaps to hits "Say So," "Need to Know," and the crowd-roaring closer "Paint the Town Red"—showcased her prowess in blending vigor and lyricism, though Reddit attendees flagged sound glitches with a muted mic. Dubbed "mesmerizing" and "commanding" by iHeart, the show bolstered her festival diva repute post-Coachella, injecting rap dominance into a lineup featuring The Weeknd and Hozier, despite quibbles over lacking fresh twists.
