In June 2023, German electronicore band Electric Callboy—formerly Eskimo Callboy, renowned for humorous sound with meme lyrics and high-energy drops on Tekkno (2022)—headlined Saturday night at Pinkpop, Europe’s oldest annual festival launched in 1970 in Landgraaf, Netherlands, capping a day alongside Arctic Monkeys. The hour-long set, brimming with chaotic breakdowns and the theatrical charisma of vocalists Kevin Ratajczak and Nico Sallach, traced the band's evolution from underground roots to festival phenomenon, where metalcore fused with EDM in a whirlwind of absurdity and adrenaline. Held under summer rain, this show underscored their genre-disrupting role, transforming a rock-heavy arena into a realm of collective ecstasy.
