In December 2021, as Swiss indie-rock band Ellis Mano Band from Zurich gained initial momentum post their debut EP with garage riffs and lyrics on everyday rebellion, they selected Christmas Sessions in Biel/Bienne—a cozy holiday concert series where local talents found warmth in a historic hall, a tradition for the Jura canton. This 40-minute set, rendered in half-shadow with garlands and a sparse band, mirrored the group's early raw vigor, pitting Chris Ellis's guitars against festive coziness and urban melancholy. Performed before a small audience, the show emerged as a subtle triumph of their local breakthrough, turning the winter venue into a portal where indie rock took on a holiday tint.
