In June 2022, amid the Nothing Is True Tour, British post-hardcore band Enter Shikari from St Albans—fusion pioneers of rap and electronics in the genre, whose A Flash Flood of Colour (2012) stormed UK charts with climate and resistance narratives—detonated the stage at Download Festival Germany, the 2013-launched German arm of the legendary event at Hockenheimring as a speed-and-volume rock/metal platform. Their 60-minute onslaught, rife with chaotic synth surges and Rou Reynolds' furious vocal improvisations, channeled the band's rebellion ethos, where lyrical fury gained festival catharsis before an 80,000-strong crowd under summer sun. As part of their social justice crusade, this gig transmuted the racetrack into a collective protest coliseum.
