The energy at Glasgow Green was palpable on July 10, 2022, as the TRNSMT Festival crowd gathered for a dynamic performance from Everyone You Know. The London-based duo, comprised of half-brothers Rhys Kirkby-Cox and Harvey Kirkby, brought their signature blend of gritty storytelling, punk energy, and 90s rave-inspired beats to the Scottish stage. Known for their raw and relatable lyrics that often touch on themes of suburban life and modern struggles, their set was a powerful showcase of their unique sound.
This performance captures the essence of their live appeal—a raw, unfiltered connection with the audience. From the driving rhythms to the sharp, observational vocals, Everyone You Know delivered a set that was both thought-provoking and intensely danceable. Their ability to fuse genres, from hip-hop to indie and electronic music, creates a soundscape that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly contemporary, making their TRNSMT appearance a memorable highlight of the festival weekend.
As part of a massive festival lineup that included major headliners, Everyone You Know carved out their own space, proving why they are considered one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the UK music scene in recent years. This recording is a testament to their powerful stage presence and their growing influence.
