In July 2018, British big-beat producer Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook)—master of sampling and rave atmosphere with hits like "The Rockafeller Skank" and "Praise You"—delivered an exclusive DJ set on British Airways i360, Brighton's futuristic observation tower, as part of the Cercle series. The July 30, 2018 performance in the glass pod at 138 meters height, captured in high quality with drone footage overlooking the English Channel, caught Cook at full strength: throbbing beats, funky samples, and vocal hooks merged with remixes like Childish Gambino vs FISHER "This Is America / Losing It" and Patrick Topping "Be Sharp Say Nowt" to evoke an endless journey even in confined space. This gig—a standout intimate Fatboy Slim moment: no crowd on site but millions online, where big-beat meets Brighton's panorama, crafting electronic groove magic at height.
