In June 2023, British big-beat producer Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook)—master of sampling and rave atmosphere with hits like "The Rockafeller Skank" and "Praise You"—delivered an exclusive DJ set on the rooftop of Centre Pompidou in Paris as part of the Deezer Rooftop Sessions series. His performance with views of the Eiffel Tower and Parisian roofs became an intimate yet powerful moment: throbbing beats, funky samples, and vocal hooks merged with remixes of classics like Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" and The Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" to evoke a summer rave feel even in limited space. Captured in high quality, the set caught Cook at full strength—from "Eat Sleep Rave Repeat" through "Right Here, Right Now" to "Praise You" and "Star 69", with visuals and lights adding psychedelic charm against the Parisian sunset. This gig—a standout intimate Fatboy Slim moment: no huge crowd but millions online, where big-beat meets Parisian romance.
