Two years after the pandemic abruptly halted her New York recording sessions, Florence Welch made a triumphant return to the city that inspired her album 'Dance Fever'. This intimate album release concert, hosted by Audacy Live at the Hard Rock Hotel on May 10, 2022, was more than just a performance; it was a celebration of resilience and creative rebirth.
Taking the stage with her signature blend of ethereal grace and raw power, Welch and her band, The Machine, delivered a spellbinding set that seamlessly wove new material with beloved classics. The audience was treated to the live debut of powerful tracks from 'Dance Fever,' including the anthemic 'King,' the joyous 'Free,' and the disco-infused 'My Love.' These new songs found their place perfectly alongside fan favorites that have defined the band's career, such as the explosive 'Dog Days Are Over,' the haunting 'Cosmic Love,' and the dramatic 'Ship to Wreck.' The performance captured the full spectrum of Florence + The Machine's sound, from delicate vulnerability to cathartic, storming crescendos.
