In June 2023, Foo Fighters—the American rock band led by Dave Grohl and riding Medicine at Midnight (2021), marking a return to grunge roots with pop-rock elements after the tragic loss of Taylor Hawkins—headlined the final day of Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, an annual event born in 2002 on Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, as a Coachella counterpart emphasizing eclecticism and art before 80,000 attendees. Their 105-minute set, rich with Chris Shiflett's emotive guitar solos and Josh Freese's drum fills, embodied the band's resilience, where "Everlong" resonated through the crowd, blending with festival euphoria under summer sun, including a surprise with Hayley Williams of Paramore on "My Hero". As part of their post-tragedy resurgence, this show transformed the farm into a space of collective healing.
