In May 2022, Italian electronic duo Giolì & Assia—whose early EP Giolì & Assia (2018) marked their breakthrough in the house scene with a fusion of electronics, indie, and Assia's vocal loops—performed as part of Originals², Beatport and Microsoft Surface's 2022-launched collaborative series for talent discovery via remix contests, where their 43-minute set at Torre D'en Rovira, a medieval tower in Ibiza, climaxed with four remix winners of "Inside Your Head" (from their Diesis Records imprint). Filmed with drone shots over the cliffs, the performance embodied their summer tour, where Giolì's throbbing house rhythms intertwined with Assia's emotive vocal improvisations to forge a meditative flow for a small audience. As the first in Originals², this show highlighted the duo's role as performers transforming Ibiza's hills into a portal of emotional trance.
