In June 2023, Italian electronic duo Giolì & Assia—whose early EP Giolì & Assia (2018) marked their breakthrough in the house scene with a fusion of electronics, indie, and Assia's vocal loops—performed a handpan set for #DiesisLive, Diesis Music's series of intimate concerts launched in 2018 as a platform for live sessions in exotic locales, where Episode 14 formed part of a dawn performance at Fjallsarlon Glacier Lagoon, a southern Iceland lagoon just 15 minutes from the Ring Road, with drifting icebergs in turquoise waters amid volcanic hills. The 30-minute set, filmed by directors Graziano Piazza and Marco Drillo with drone footage over the lagoon, embodied their northern tour climax, where Giolì's finger techniques on the handpan wove a meditative flow blending unreleased tracks like "Inside Your Head" to evoke hypnotic catharsis for a small audience. As a rare artifact of their shift from club roots to immersive acts, this show transmuted the Icelandic dawn into a portal of emotional trance.
