In July 2020, Italian electronic duo Giolì & Assia—whose early EP Giolì & Assia (2018) marked their breakthrough in the house scene with a fusion of electronics, indie, and Assia's vocal loops—delivered a unique stream session for Ultra Music, a label specializing in dance music with a focus on live performances in exotic locales. Filmed on a boat off the coast of Scopello, Sicily—a picturesque village with dramatic cliffs and azure seas serving as the backdrop for their viral video—the 30-minute set embodied lockdown tour climax, where Giolì's throbbing house rhythms intertwined with Assia's emotive vocal improvisations to forge a meditative flow amid the waves. Preceding the single "For You" release, this performance highlighted the duo's role as performers transforming the Sicilian sea into a portal of emotional trance.
