In July 2024, Italian electronic duo Giolì & Assia—whose album GIO & ASSIA (2023), blending house, techno, and indie with collaborations like Aluna, marked their European breakthrough post-Tomorrowland debut—performed at #DiesisLive, Diesis Music's series of intimate concerts launched in 2020 as a platform for live sessions in unique locales, where their set formed part of The Forest Sundown in Nebrodi Park, Sicily's reserve with ancient woods and Tyrrhenian Sea views. The 90-minute performance, with throbbing beats and Assia's vocal improvisations, embodied their summer tour climax, where house rhythms echoed with nature to forge a meditative flow for a small audience. As a rare artifact of their shift from club roots to festival sound, this show transmuted the Sicilian forest into a portal of emotional trance.
