Gojira — Live Concert at Garorock Festival, Marmande, France, 2014

In June 2014, French metal band Gojira—at the peak of their tour supporting L'Enfant Sauvage (2012), marking a shift to technical death metal with progressive elements and ecological motifs—performed at Garorock, an annual festival launched in 1997 in Marmande, France, as a platform for alternative music emphasizing rock and metal among 30,000 attendees on the Garonne riverbank. Their hour-long main stage set, captured in high quality, embodied their European tour climax, where Joe Duplantier's technical riffs merged with Mario Duplantier's drum power to spark collective ecstasy under summer sun. Part of a lineup with Placebo and Shaka Ponk, this show highlighted Gojira's genre-innovator role, turning the riverbank into a realm of rebellion and unity.
