In July 2020, amid the pandemic that canceled all tours, French metal band Gojira delivered a unique acoustic Silver Cord Session at their Silver Cord Studio in New York—a creative hub built by Joe Duplantier for recording and experiments. The 30-minute set, captured in high quality before a minimal audience, revealed the band's intimate side: Joe and Mario Duplantier's technical guitar work in acoustic format with vocals and percussion, lending new depth to tracks like "Silvera" and "Amazonia". As part of their online campaign, this performance highlighted Gojira's resilience, turning the studio into a space of collective catharsis.
