In October 2017, during the RevRad Tour supporting Revolution Radio (2016)—their first album in four years after the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! trilogy and a return to straightforward punk-rock after experiments—California band Green Day performed at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, an indoor arena with 20,000 capacity opened in 1968 as a symbol of Mexican sports and music culture. Their 2-hour set, captured professionally, embodied the Latin American leg climax, fusing stadium anthems like "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "American Idiot" with new tracks to spark collective ecstasy before a sold-out crowd. As one of their last before hiatus, this show highlighted Green Day's veteran status, turning the Mexican arena into a realm of rebellion and unity.
