In 2016–2017, at the peak of the Not in This Lifetime… Tour—the most profitable reunion of Guns N' Roses' classic lineup (Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan) after a 23-year hiatus—the band delivered two iconic shows featured in the Not in This Lifetime Selects series: at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City (April 30, 2016) and Toyota Center in Houston (August 26, 2016). The 90-minute sets, captured professionally, embodied the tour's scale: Slash's guitar solos, Rose's vocal charisma, and McKagan's bass lines forged festival catharsis before 20–25,000 fans in each city. With covers like "Wish You Were Here" and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", these performances highlighted the band's resilience post-internal strife, turning arenas into realms of collective triumph.
