Kicking off her 'This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour' in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Gwen Stefani delivered an electrifying performance that captured a pivotal and deeply personal chapter in her career. This show, held at the Xfinity Center on July 12, 2016, was the very first stop on the tour supporting her third solo album, a record born from personal heartbreak and rediscovery. The energy of a tour launch is palpable, with Stefani showcasing new tracks like 'Misery' and 'Used to Love You' alongside her arsenal of solo blockbusters.
The setlist was a dynamic journey through her iconic catalog. Fans were treated to high-energy renditions of hits like 'Hollaback Girl' and 'The Sweet Escape,' but the concert also paid homage to her roots with No Doubt, featuring powerful performances of classics such as 'Don't Speak' and 'Just a Girl.' A major highlight of the evening was the on-stage reunion with rapper Eve, who joined Stefani for their Grammy-winning collaborations 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind' and 'Rich Girl,' reigniting their celebrated chemistry. This performance was more than just a concert; it was a comprehensive showcase of her evolution as an artist, blending raw emotion with the vibrant, unstoppable showmanship she's known for.
