HammerFall — Live Concert at Dalhalla Amphitheatre, Rättvik, Sweden, 2012

In August 2012, Swedish power metal band HammerFall—at the peak of the (r)Evolution Tour and celebrating the 15th anniversary of Glory to the Brave—delivered a unique concert at Dalhalla, an open-air amphitheatre carved from a former limestone quarry in Rättvik, Sweden, where the 4,000-capacity venue with natural acoustics framed their most ambitious show. The 90-minute set, captured for the DVD and album Gates of Dalhalla, embodied a career climax: Oscar Dronjak's guitar riffs merged with Joacim Cans' vocal power, while guests like former guitarist Stefan Elmgren and a team of Swedish gymnasts added theatricality, evoking catharsis before a sold-out crowd under starry skies. Featuring tracks like "Threshold", "The Dragon Lies Bleeding", and "Let the Hammer Fall", this performance highlighted their leadership in power metal, turning the quarry into an arena of triumph.
