In March 2010, German blues-rock guitarist Henrik Freischlader—at the peak of his tour supporting Recorded by Martin Meinschäfer (2009), his breakthrough after debut The Blues (2006)—performed at Rockpalast Crossroads Festival in Harmonie, Bonn, WDR's legendary series launched in 1974 as a platform for live blues and rock broadcasts. His hour-long set, captured professionally, embodied the tour climax, where technical Gibson ES-335 solos intertwined with emotive vocals and organ parts to forge a club-blues atmosphere before a small audience. Sharing the bill with Joe Bonamassa and Walter Trout, this performance highlighted Freischlader's role as a leading European bluesman of the new generation, turning the hall into a space of genuine guitar dialogue.
