In June 2019, American metalcore band I Prevail—from South Flint, Michigan, and genre pioneers with Trauma (2019), marking their breakthrough with emotive lyrics on mental health and over 500,000 copies sold—performed at Nova Rock, one of Europe's largest rock festivals launched in 2005 in Nickelsdorf, Austria, sharing the bill with Bring Me the Horizon and Slayer. Their 30-minute main stage set on June 13, captured professionally, embodied the Trauma Tour climax, where Steve Menoian's aggressive riffs merged with Lee Runestad's drum power and the dual vocals of Brian Burkheiser and Eric Vanlerberghe to spark collective ecstasy among tens of thousands under summer sun. Featuring tracks like "Bow Down" and "DOA", this show highlighted I Prevail's leadership in modern metalcore, turning the festival grounds into a realm of rebellion and unity.
