In February 2022, British post-punk band IDLES—from Bristol and genre pioneers with Crawler (2021), heralding a return to primal fury after Joy as an Act of Resistance (2018)—delivered an intimate concert at Ancienne Belgique, Brussels' legendary venue opened in 1893 as a Flemish theater and a bastion of European indie with 2,500 capacity. Their hour-long set on February 26, captured in high quality, embodied their European tour climax, where Lee Kiernan's aggressive riffs merged with Joe Talbot's emotive delivery to spark collective ecstasy before a sold-out crowd. Part of a lineup with Brutalism, this show highlighted IDLES' role as a generational voice, turning the historic hall into a realm of rebellion and unity.
