In September 2021, American pop-rock band Imagine Dragons—at the peak of promotion for Mercury – Act 1 (2021), marking their shift to a more mature, cinematic sound after Evolve—delivered an exclusive concert for iHeartRadio Album Release Party, the annual iHeartRadio series where their 60-minute set became the first live presentation of new material before the global tour. Captured in high quality at iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles before a small audience, the performance embodied the pandemic period's climax, where Wayne Sermon's guitar riffs merged with Dan Reynolds' vocal intensity in minimalist format to evoke emotional resonance for millions via stream. Featuring tracks like "Follow You", "Wrecked", and "Monday", this show highlighted their role as 2010s stadium pop-rock leaders, turning the studio into a realm of collective unity.
