In November 2013, British acid jazz band Incognito—led by Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick and at the peak of their tour supporting Surreal (2012), marking a return to roots funk-jazz after electronic experiments—performed at Baloise Session, Switzerland's intimate concert series at Event Halle in Basel, sharing the bill with Al Jarreau and Gregory Porter before 2,000 attendees. The 90-minute show, captured in high quality by ARTE Concert, embodied their European tour climax, where Francis Hylton's funky bass lines merged with vocals from Vanessa Haynes and Tony Momrelle, while brass sections evoked 70s vibes to spark euphoria among the audience. This performance highlighted Incognito's veteran status in British funk, turning the hall into a realm of collective groove.
