In June 2014, British acid jazz band Incognito—led by Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick and at the peak of their tour supporting Amplified Soul (2014)—performed at JazzBaltica, an annual festival launched in 1991 in Salzau, Germany, as a platform for jazz, funk, and soul emphasizing Baltic atmosphere among 5,000 attendees on an open stage by Großer See. Their 90-minute set on June 27, captured in high quality, embodied their European tour climax, where Francis Hylton's funky bass lines merged with vocals from Vanessa Haynes and Tony Momrelle, while brass sections evoked 70s vibes to spark euphoria under summer skies. This show highlighted Incognito's veteran status in British funk, turning the festival stage into a realm of collective groove.
