Incognito — Live Concert at North Sea Jazz Festival, Rotterdam, Netherlands, 1995

In July 1995, British acid jazz band Incognito—led by Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick and at the peak of popularity following Positivity (1993)—performed at North Sea Jazz Festival, the world's largest jazz event launched in 1976 in Rotterdam as a platform for jazz, funk, and soul among 70,000 at Ahoy. Their hour-long set on one of the stages, captured in high quality, embodied their European tour climax, where Francis Hylton's funky bass lines merged with Maysa Leak's vocals and the brass section to spark euphoria under summer skies. Featuring tracks like "Always There", "Still a Friend of Mine", and "Pieces of a Dream", this show highlighted Incognito's pioneering role in British funk, turning the festival stage into a realm of collective groove.
