In May 2014, British acid jazz band Incognito—led by Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick and at the peak of their tour supporting Amplified Soul (2014)—performed at Singapore International Jazz Festival (SING JAZZ), an annual event launched in 2014 at Marina Bay Sands as a platform for jazz, funk, and soul among 10,000 attendees in Singapore's tropical atmosphere. Their hour-long main stage set, captured in high quality, embodied their Asian tour climax, where Francis Hylton's funky bass lines merged with vocals from Vanessa Haynes and Tony Momrelle, while brass sections evoked 70s vibes to spark euphoria under tropical skies. This show highlighted Incognito's veteran status in British funk, turning the festival stage into a realm of collective groove.
