In July 2014, American indie-rock band Interpol—at the peak of their tour supporting El Pintor (2014), their first after bassist Carlos Dengler's departure and a return to moody post-punk after Marauder—performed at Open'er Festival, one of Poland's largest festivals launched in 2002 at Gdynia's Kosakowo airfield as a platform for alternative music among 80,000 attendees. Their hour-long main stage set on July 4, captured in high quality, embodied their European tour climax, where Paul Banks and Daniel Kessler's guitar textures merged with Sam Fogarino's drum power to evoke emotional resonance under Baltic skies. Featuring tracks like "Evil", "All the Rage Back Home", "NYC", and "Slow Hands", this show highlighted their veteran status in New York post-punk, turning the festival grounds into a realm of collective trance.
