In July 2023, American blues-rock guitarist Jackie Venson—from Austin and known for her fusion of soul, blues, and rock on albums like Evolution of Joy (2023)—performed at Alive After 5, a free summer concert series in downtown Boise's Grove Plaza, Idaho, as part of the city's outdoor festival. The 90-minute show on July 19, captured in high quality, embodied her tour climax, where technical Gibson ES-335 solos merged with emotive vocals and funky riffs from her band to evoke warm resonance among thousands under summer skies. This performance highlighted her role as a leading modern blues guitarist, turning the urban plaza into a space of genuine unity.
