In March 2022, American blues-rock guitarist Jackie Venson—from Austin and known for her fusion of soul, blues, and rock on albums like Love Transcends (2021)—delivered an intimate session for Studio 3 LIVE, a series of live performances in the PBS Austin studio. The 60-minute set, captured in high quality before a small audience, embodied her pandemic tour climax, where technical Gibson ES-335 solos merged with emotive vocals and funky riffs from her band to evoke warm resonance among listeners. Featuring tracks like "Rollin' On", "Joy", and "Make Me Feel", this show highlighted her role as a leading modern blues guitarist, turning the studio into a space of genuine guitar dialogue.
