In April 2025, Berlin-based electronic artist Jan Blomqvist—known for his "concert techno" fusion of melodic techno, indie, and emotive vocal loops on albums like Disconnected (2018)—delivered a special live set at Escape Pioneertown in the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Park, California, as part of a DJ Mag series with no crowd, stage, or speakers, only natural acoustics. The 60-minute set, captured in high quality and premiered on April 17, 2025, embodied his solo creative peak, where throbbing beats merged with vocal improvisations on tracks like "New Silence", "Disappear Again", and "Canopee des Cimes" to forge a meditative flow for viewers. This show highlighted Blomqvist's role as a performer, turning the desert into a space of emotional trance.
