In February 2021, American alternative rock band Jimmy Eat World—at the peak of the Phoenix Sessions global stream series during the pandemic—delivered Surviving: Phoenix Sessions, fully performing their album Surviving (2019), their tenth studio release with emotive textures on survival and maturity after Integrity Blues. Recorded at Icehouse, a downtown Phoenix art space, before a limited audience, the 90-minute set embodied Chapter X of the series, where Jim Adkins and Zach Lind's guitar riffs merged with Zach Lind's drum power and Adkins' vocal intensity to evoke emotional resonance for millions online. Featuring tracks like "Surviving", "Criminal Energy", "Delivery", and "All the Way (Stay)", this show highlighted their role as 2000s alternative leaders, turning virtual space into a realm of collective unity.
