In August 2022, Berlin-based retro-rock band Kadavar—pioneers of modern psychedelic and stoner rock with albums like For the Dead Travel Fast (2019)—performed at Wacken Open Air, the world's largest metal festival in the village of Wacken, Germany. Their August 5 main stage set before 85,000 became a retro sound triumph amid heavy acts like Judas Priest and Slipknot. The 90-minute performance, captured in high quality, caught the band at full strength: Christoph "Lupus" Lindemann's heavy riffs merged with Christoph "Tiger" Bartelt's drum power and Simon Bouteloup's bass lines to spark euphoria under summer skies. Running through "The Devil's Master", "Into the Night", "Doomsday Machine", "Living in Your Head", and closing with "Die Baby Die"—pure 70s groove with psychedelic edge.
