In July 2014, British indie-rock band Kasabian—led by Tom Meighan and Sergio Pizzorno, at the peak of their tour supporting 48:13 (2014)—performed their first Russian show at Subbotnik Festival in Moscow's Gorky Park. Their July 5 set before thousands became a day highlight alongside Placebo and Metronomy. The 90-minute performance, captured in high quality and streamed online, caught the band at full strength: Chris Edwards' pulsing guitars and Ian Matthews' drums backed Meighan's charisma, with guest Miles Kane adding surprise on "Club Foot". Running through "bumblebeee", "Shoot the Runner", "Underdog", "eez-eh", "Club Foot", "Re-Wired", "Praise You/L.S.F.", and closing with "Fire"—a pure festival explosion where Kasabian conquered the Russian crowd.
