In August 2021, American psychedelic stoner-rock band King Buffalo from Rochester performed at Burning Man, the cult festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, where their show became part of the Mayan Warrior art car. Captured as a concert film in high quality amid dusty dunes and installations, the performance caught the band at full strength: Dan Reynolds' heavy guitar riffs and vocals, Sean McVay's bass lines, and Scott Donaldson's drums crafted a prolonged psychedelic trip under starry skies. This gig—a rare artifact of their pandemic era—blended stoner power with post-rock textures, with Burning Man's atmosphere adding magic, making it more than a concert but a desert ritual.
